It all started with a conversation.

Isn’t that the way most good things start?

Two strangers sharing their first lunch at Blue Lemon.  I had salmon.  I can’t remember what Nish had.  We talked about Mormons and Evangelical Christians and loving God and loving people, and before we knew it what was supposed to be a one hour lunch turned into a whole afternoon.

Well, really, into four amazing years.

That first conversation led to a million other conversations until, finally, the idea for Multiply Goodness was born.

Within those first few days Macy, Dave, and Katie hopped on board…

So this is us.

Emily Freeman, me.  Lover of all things holy.  Wife, Mother, Grandmother.  Passionate about scripture.  A fierce advocate for loving well.  Speaker.  Author.  Parade watcher.  Lacrosse fan.  Football mom.  My heart revolves around my family.  My lifelong goal is to learn new things no matter how old I am.  My close friends will tell you that I have this Jesus thing.  It’s true.  He is the driving force behind everything I do, every decision I make, every step.  Every day begins the same way, with a prayer…Lord, what would you have me do?  I love everything about this site.  The people.  The message.  The goodness.

Nish Weiseth.  I am an author, speaker, preacher, troublemaker, problem solver and activist.  I love my family, my church, my community, my city, my Dr. Pepper.  More than anything, I love Jesus.  I’d give it all up for Him.  I love the Scriptures, I love to teach the Scriptures.  I love to learn about different religions, and have made it my life goal to learn as much as I can and share it with my children  I believe we have more in common than we think.  I believe we can do more together than we can apart.  I believe that the Kingdom is here, but not yet.  I believe that the Oregon Ducks will make a comeback . I believe in this place and the people here.  I believe in the prayers of a faithful people and I believe that the Lord is on the move.

David Butler.  Father of six.  Bible teacher.  Speaker.  Author.  Ice cream lover, especially gelato.  Has wanderlust but not enough money to satisfy it.  Soccer coach.  Fort builder.  Human donkey.  (Now everyone knows how little my kids are.)  Jesus has won my heart again and again.  He is my everything.  I love people.  I really do.  I love people so much.  And I think together we can do much good.  That’s why I love this site.

Katie Wilson Hughes.  I believe.  I create.  I love.  I mother.  I believe deeply that God loves women—that he has blessed us with an innate ability to create, nurture and bless. And that we need each other.  So deeply.  I’m an advocate of deliberate mothering.  Of making every moment matter.  Of making our homes a sacred and safe place–a soft spot to land in our sometimes harsh world. I love sharing my talents and gifts with others.  They testify to me that God wants us to love and serve others with all our hearts and with everything he’s given us.  When I share them I’m reminded how every good thing can lift and lead us to faith in Him.  And I’m passionate about Multiply Goodness because I know that God wants us to love each other more–love each other better. I find that here and my heart feels peace.

Macy Robison. Wife.  Mom.  Donut connoisseur.  I’m thrilled to tears when I watch humans reach their potential.  I love seeking out the threads of the Divine that run through each of our lives and writing down what I learn.  When I’m not working as a photographer, social media manager and web designer, I’m probably doing laundry and listening to podcasts.  I love Austin’s live oaks and wide, blue skies, but I miss escaping to my mountains to feel closer to my Father in Heaven.  A perfect day for me includes Diet Coke with nugget ice, curling up with my kids and a good book, laughing with my husband and singing along to Broadway musicals in my car.

Looking forward to the journey ahead!!
