By now you must be wondering what happened to us this month.

An explanation is in order 🙂

I wonder if you know about my son Garett?  Garett Bolles.  The boy we picked up off the curb with all of his belongings in August of 2011.  The boy who had nowhere else to go.  The one who had been in jail.

Have I told you about that boy?

How he moved into our home, turned his life over to God, gave up the drugs and the bad friends and the life intent on destroying him.  I don’t know if I told you about the opportunity he had to play ball at a Junior College.  And then, after two years, became the most highly recruited JUCO player in the United States.  He had offers from almost 30 Division 1 Schools…. Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Oregon.  He played at the University of Utah, and then, in December, he declared for the NFL draft.

It reminds you of the Blindside.  It won’t surprise you that that’s his favorite movie.  And mine.

So last week we were invited to the NFL draft in Philadelphia.  Yes, we really were.

Garett went no. 20 in the first round.  To the Denver Broncos.

He stood up on the stage with his baby, Kingston, and he told the whole world it was because of the grace of God that he was there.  And it was true.  It was God who got him there.

For those of you who are interested, Good Morning America will be sharing his story tomorrow, Sunday, May 14, in the morning.  Or you can search his name and read all about our crazy month.

It’s been a whirlwind.

I’m just barely coming up for air.  And everything we had planned for this month moved to the back burner.  This month became about family for a moment.  But life is starting to right itself again!

So our challenge for you is to do the same.

We are going to take this month of May to focus on the family.

You will see instagram post reminders.

And we will spend the rest of the month gearing up for the study, and calendar, and gathering that will take place in June.

JUNE 21, if you are in Salt Lake City.

But all of the materials will be up June 1 for the rest of you.  And we are fine tuning everything so those of you in different States, (Virginia, Texas, and Arizona) can start up a multiply group of your very own.

So excited for all the good ahead of us this year.

And thanks for being patient with us through May.
