You don’t have to look hard to find it…there really is goodness all around us, surrounding us, just waiting to be discovered. So, we went gathering. Our hope is that your weekend will be filled with courage, faith, hope, a little bit of laughter, and a whole bunch of love. YAY! It’s Friday! Let the goodness begin…

• We can’t think of anything more courageous than the sacrifice of going to serve their country in the armed forces. With Veteran’s Day coming up this week in the United States, we hope you’ll take the time to multiply goodness and thank a veteran.
With that in mind, we wanted to share this story, linked below. Be sure you click through and watch the video that is part of the story if you want a good cry. 🙂
• It’s so refreshing to us when public figures express their faith in beautiful ways. Country singer Carrie Underwood has a fantastic new song called “Something in the Water” that we think you’ll really love. And we think you’ll especially love the music video she released earlier this week. (Tears and chill bumps at time stamp 2:52. Just sayin’.)
• A song to give you hope when you’re feeling low:
• Unless you’ve been living under a rock with earplugs in your ears, you’ve likely heard “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift. We were laughing out loud when we saw this YouTube video yesterday – 80’s aerobics competition + “Shake It Off”. There are moments where the choreography from the 80’s lines up so perfectly with the song that it almost looks planned.
28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
We love this passage of scripture, and we often think when we read verse 31, that it can be difficult for us to live that entire commandment. Service and loving others is so important, but we need to remember to show love and appreciation for ourselves too. We need to avoid getting caught in the trap of putting ourselves down and focusing on our imperfections. This video is such a great reminder of that:
We hope you’ll feel inspired to multiply goodness this weekend, and when you do, we hope you’ll share your experiences with us on social media. See you on Monday!
