It is November, a month that swells with the possibility of gratitude.

This morning I woke to the sound of gentle rain and I cozied deeper into the feather down.  It had all the makings of a slow morning.

I love slow mornings.

Nestled in deep, I scrolled through Instagram.  It didn’t take long before a beautiful post caught my eye.  The yellow and orange of fall leaves, a simple quote about gratitude, and a reminder that this is the month when we need to remember our gifts.

There is something I believe with all of my heart…

it’s not coincidence that Thanksgiving falls before Christmas on the calendar.

A season of gratitude always prepares our hearts for a season of giving.

This morning it came as a gentle reminder…I need to embrace this season.

Perhaps we all do.

Maybe today you could throw your arms wide and open your heart to all that November has to offer.

Maybe you could immerse yourself completely into this season of thanks giving.

Fall down on your knees.

Never forget.

Express gratitude.

Give thanks.
