About Stephanie Boyd

Growing up in New York, Stephanie was drawn to the power of music from a young age. While she was originally trained in classical singing, Stephanie always gravitated towards more upbeat and modern music. With her debut album, Touching Sky, Stephanie combines her love of traditional messages with fresh music. She has a master’s degree in environmental science she and her husband have enjoyed building and selling businesses together. Stephanie is married with five children and likes to read, garden, run and bake fun birthday cakes. http://stephanieboydmusic.com/

“The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.” Psalms 145:8 When I think of grace, I think of the word “gift.”  Now, birthday presents are nice gifts.  But we kind of feel like we deserve them because it’s our special day.  Have you ever gotten a gift on…

But Peter put them all forth and kneeled down, and prayed.  Acts 9:40 Most of the time, my mind feels like it’s filled with untethered balloons.  Little bits of advice, ideas, names, events, grocery needs, music ideas, “to do” items and memories get jumbled up all together and float around in there.  I have forgotten…

“There should be no schism in the body; but the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.” 1 Corinthians 12:25-26 Love seems so easy sometimes.  Right?  When we’re tucked in bed,…

Nearly 40 years ago, a Mormon and a Methodist fell in love.  They were both devoted to each other and to God in their own way.  They pledged to build a strong family based on faith, love, music and humor.  Life was full of ups and downs, laughing and crying, baseball and singing (but no…

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18 This summer we moved. We spent months de-junking, organizing, collecting boxes and filling them, repairing the house, making donation runs, holding garage sales, and finally, loading everything to…

I watched helplessly as she kicked her legs against the hospital gown and tried to cough. Tears were sliding down her cheek. Her eyes were filled with panic and blinked rapidly at the stark hospital lights. I wondered why they couldn’t just let her stay asleep. Why did they have to wake her up to…

As a songwriter, I always appreciate a carefully-crafted phrase.  Whether in a radio song, or a poem, or even Instagram sometimes, I marvel at the way some talented and creative minds are able to put words together in just the right way to express a complicated thought.  I am inspired to reach a little deeper…

“This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24) Over the past year, I have felt God whisper many times to me to get out of my own head and pay attention to what’s around me. Not to always worry about the next thing, in music…

We just got back from Disney World. Hot, humid days full of walking and waiting. Thrills, jumps, swoops, and screams. And unexpectedly, time to ponder. At the end of each day, my family would practically fall into their beds. Well, everyone except for the baby, who had been pushed in the stroller all day long!…
